A script is not a blog post read aloud. It has a different rhythm, different sentence lengths, different ways of creating emphasis and holding attention when there is no typography to help you. We write scripts with the speaker and the screen in mind from the first line.
We write explainer video scripts, brand film narratives, podcast episode scripts, product demo scripts, and keynote outlines. Each type has a different structure and a different relationship with visual timing. An explainer script is paced around illustration changes. A podcast episode script is paced around conversational natural breathing. We write for the format.
The brief process starts with the purpose (what should the viewer do, feel, or understand by the end), the audience (what do they already know), the format (length, visual context), and any specific messages that must be included. From that, we develop the structure and then the full script.
Most scripts fail because they try to cover too much. A two-minute explainer can carry one argument clearly. It cannot carry five features, three testimonials, and a full product walkthrough. We scope the content to the format, not the other way around.
We also write for the speaker. If the script will be delivered by a non-professional (which is most brand videos), the sentences need to be shorter, the vocabulary needs to be natural, and the script needs to sound like something a real person would say rather than something a marketing team approved.
